Come to Alice Springs

Alice Springs... the beating heart of Australia...

Welcome to the beating heart

of Central Australia…

For those new to Alice Springs and the beautiful Central Australia, there is so much to see and do throughout the year that it is highly recommended to stay at least a week. Make sure you factor in some down time for yourselves, so you can do some leisurely activity including time to unwind and relax. If you are planning a visit to Uluru / Kata Tjuta and Kings Canyon, you may want to consider starting your holiday from there and then travel onto Alice Springs, leaving you more time to spend in Alice Springs. Or you can explore Alice Springs region first and then depart from Uluru. This will give you an unbroken period to spend exploring Alice Springs, the MacDonnell Ranges and the area both south and north of Alice Springs (that’s if you have time)…

Central Australia also provides spectacular opportunities for some of the best night skies in the world. With thousands of visible stars, the heavens have never looked so beautiful and whether you do it on your own, or one of the astronomy tours, it is a great activity to include in your visit.

See our info on Distance in Central Australia providing information such as how far it is to Uluru and Kings Canyon. If you are looking for activities and attractions in-close proximity and within the town centre, check out our Alice Springs Local Attractions. For attractions out of the town limit, check out our Central Australia Attractions.
